EUROCHOCOLATE 2023

Perugia, 13 -22 October 2023

Eurochocolate is now an unmissable event and appointment for all gourmands and chocolate lovers with over 6,000 Italian and international products presented by more than 100 artisan and industrial pastry brands,

Eurochocolate is the chocolate festival par excellence which from 13 to 22 October 2023 hosts numerous attractions and guests from all over the country, through which it is possible to taste delicious chocolate products that you will only find here. The Eurochocolate 2023 program, as per tradition, is designed to meet the approval of young and old, of families but also of teenagers and “boys of the past” over 70 … all united by a passion … that for chocolate!

The Eurochocolate 2023 programs are as follows:

Chocolate experience
An area dedicated to educational and visual activities related to the world of chocolate where large companies and long-standing collaborators will be present.
It will be possible to collaborate in the activities in which masters, pastry chefs and sector experts will take turns in tastings and it will also be possible to participate in the activities scheduled in the “Choco Lab” and “Cooking Show” stages in which Special Guests, pastry chefs and industry professionals, they will take turns in tastings and workshops on the delicious theme of cocoa and chocolate.
As if that weren’t enough, the “Tree to Bar” experiential journey is proposed, which will tell the story and the transformation cycle of cocoa into chocolate. Telling cocoa since its ancient origins through the use of the 5 senses, with the possibility of participating in a real cocoa ceremony immersing yourself in the typical smells, tastes and flavors of distant pre-Columbian cultures, followed by professional experts.
This is a reservation and paid activity.
The journey doesn’t end here… you will see with your own eyes the making of chocolate in the real “Chocolate Factory”, a laboratory open all day where professional chocolatiers will be at work in the creation of mouth-watering chocolate products that you can buy directly.

Chocolate Show
The Grande Emporio del Cioccolato, the area completely dedicated to sales, welcomes large and small chocolate companies and products related to the theme of the event.
A Maxi Gianduiotto from Turin and a “Castello” from Tavolette di Modica are the novelties of this year.
The production process of the previous products is told thanks to installations and exhibitors, through blow-ups of photos related to the two cities. Ample space will be dedicated to the display and sale of products from the most important companies divided by region, where visitors will be able to choose from the most diverse proposals and help themselves independently.
Another novelty is the central area where spectators will be able to stop and buy pastry products, ice cream, chocolate and drinks served as in a real pastry shop.

Chocolate Funny
Workshops for families and children will accompany us during this event, from thematic installations, to entertainment activities, inflatables and product sales.
The entire pavilion thus becomes an area dedicated to entertainment!

CALENDIMAGGIO IN ASSISI | 21 APRIL – 11 MAY 2024

CALENDIMAGGIO ASSISI 2024

Assisi, 21 April – 11 May, 2024

The Calendimaggio of Assisi (sometimes also transcribed Kalendimaggio) is a festival that is celebrated every first Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday after May 1st of every year, to greet the arrival of spring. The two Parts into which the city is divided, the Nobilissima Parte de Sopra and the Magnifica Parte de Sotto, compete for the conquest of the palio, through the development of processions in medieval costumes (about 13th century – mid 15th century), scenes recitations of re-enactment of medieval life in the alleys of the city and musical performances: the winning Party is decided by a jury, made up of internationally renowned experts, that is, a historian, a musicologist and a personality from the world of entertainment.

During the days of Calendimaggio, through the alleys of Assisi, you can relive the atmosphere of the typical medieval festival, with songs, music and jousting; the festival has ancient origins, dating back to the ancient tradition of the Umbrian people to greet the arrival of spring.

In these days, the people of Assisi wear traditional medieval clothes and follow a series of initiatives, including the suggestive Palio del Calendimaggio.

LE GAITE | BEVAGNA19-30 JUNE 2024

16Mar

LE GAITE

Bevagna, June 19-30, 2024

The Mercato delle Gaite is inspired by the ancient division of Bevagna (PG) into four districts called Gaite. The administrative organization of the city in medieval times was based on it. The purpose of the event is to reconstruct, with the greatest historical relevance and wealth of details, the daily life of the inhabitants of the village in the period between 1250 and 1350.

For ten days, at the end of June, Bevagna takes a dip in this remote past: the ancient shops of medieval crafts reopen their doors and resume their activities; the streets are populated with bevanati who in period clothes live the daily life of their ancestors by eating, working, playing just like them. Today as then, the city is divided into four Gaite, but today each rivals the others in an attempt to give a historically faithful interpretation of the role it played in the Middle Ages. The spirit of competition is the basis of the animated event and takes the form of participation in 4 competitions: Competition of Professions, Gastronomic Competition, Market Competition and Archery Competition. With a complex system of points, assigned by scholars and experts in various fields and called to judge the historical relevance of the reconstructions, the winner is declared on the last day of the event and receives the Palio della Vittoria as a gift. The strong spirit of belonging to one’s own Gaita makes the competitions very interesting and stimulates a continuous improvement of the Gaite proposals in the various sectors, with a clear advantage of the general quality of the Festival. The Mercato delle Gaite is now counted among the most important historical events in Umbria and is part of the Regional Association of Historical Events.

UMBRIA JAZZ | PERUGIA 7-16 JULY 2023

UMBRIA JAZZ

Perugia, Perugia 7-16 July 2023

Who doesn’t know Umbria Jazz, one of the most famous and important jazz festivals in Italy?

For about 10 days during the month of July, the city of Perugia dedicates itself to and embraces the best of Italian and international jazz (and not only), including the Santa Giuliana Arena, the Pavone Theater, the Santa Cecilia Oratory, Piazza IV November and the Carducci gardens and various other exceptional locations.

It has always represented one of the most important and renowned events dedicated to jazz in Europe of considerable international appeal, it is an unmissable event for music lovers.

The historic center of Perugia includes over five hundred artists, afternoon, evening and night concerts, the main arena, two outdoor stages with free concerts, jazz club theaters and jazz lunches and dinners, with musical proposals that now range over the entire musical horizon to embrace the tastes of an increasingly heterogeneous audience.

Among the artists we remember Eric Clapton, Diana Krall, Sergio Mendes, Pat Metheny, James Brown, Paolo Fresu, Pino Daniele, Russel Malone and many others.
