A walk with Prof. Aldo Ranfa and art historian Monica Lupparelli to discover a resilient and courageous
vegetal nature capable of finding space and life even in the most unlikely and
hidden ravines. Walking through Assisi you can discover how its beauty has inspired artists and
artisans who have immortalized it on the city monuments.

Walks for Biodiversity – The Fantastic World of Bees

On the occasion of World Biodiversity Day, we are offering a walk in the company of
agronomist Erica Bernasconi, who will dedicate some stops along the route to telling anecdotes and
peculiarities of the world of bees.

Festival of the Woods

Ten Woods, ten different and fascinating stories. Each wood will be the scene of activities for families, days
dedicated to the discovery of a secret world populated by animals and species of rare and mysterious plants. In
collaboration with the Umbria Region.

European Day of Archaeology

Female literature – Women and nature

A literary journey in the evocative setting of the Santa Croce garden.

Goodnight concert
July 5, 9:00 pm
The “goodnight concert” is a special event that includes listening in a relaxing mode

immersed in nature to the work of Land art by Michelangelo Pistoletto. An invitation to abandon yourself to
music with all your senses and, why not, to dream lulled by the sound of musical instruments. Bring a blanket and
cushion.

Bat night
July 19, 9:00 pm
An evening entirely dedicated to our bat friends in the company of expert zoologists: under the starry vault,
we will study their movements and flight. The hunt will be aimed only at learning to love and respect them,
forgetting every ancestral fear, curated by the Studio Naturalistico Hyla.

Astronomers for a night
August 9 and August 16, 9:00 pm
After an introductory lesson dedicated to the astronomical phenomenon of the Perseids, typical of mid-August,
in the garden of the Benedictine convent of Santa Croce, the actual observations will follow in the
clearing of the Third Paradise. In collaboration with the Association “StarLight, a planetarium… between the fingers”.

Night Creatures
August 23, 9:00 pm
The forest comes alive at night and is populated by mysterious and shy creatures. In silence we will search for
their tracks and other signs of their presence: badgers, wolves, owls, barn owls, moths and fireflies will be some
of the many protagonists of our evening. In the company of a Naturalist, we will take a journey into the
mystery and darkness of the night.

Panorama Day
September 7, 10:00 am
Eleventh edition of the “Panorama Day”, organized by the FAI and the Zegna Foundation in some
of the most evocative landscapes in Italy. Guided tours led by experts to tell the story of the landscape in
which the Property is immersed.

Wild

A day dedicated to learning about the “undomesticated” plant and animal world through,
workshops, guides, stories and games proposed by passionate experts in the natural setting of the Bosco di San
Francesco.

Aromatic herbs and ancient fruits
October 5, 10:00-17:00
A day in the open air dedicated to the plants of the Bosco with Prof. Aldo Ranfa and to the rediscovery of ancient and forgotten fruits with Isabella dalla Ragione of the Fondazione Archeologia Arborea. Walks and
workshops for adults and children.

Flavours of Autumn
November 2, 11:00-13:00
Four local wineries tell their stories by offering tastings of their wines, accompanied by bruschetta
with the new oil of the Bosco di San Francesco.

Christmas in the Bosco
Workshops for children
A series of events at the S. Croce Complex dedicated to children who will accompany us in the
discovery of the secrets and beauties of the Bosco di San Francesco, to experience the wait for Christmas in a warm
festive atmosphere.

Aperitif in music
December 8, 11:30
On the occasion of the holidays, the Bosco di San Francesco hosts a
special concert in the Romanesque church of Santa Croce. Followed by an aperitif with mulled wine and traditional sweets, to toast together
the arrival of Christmas in the festively decorated Santa Croce complex.
