THE GUBBIO TREE, THE LARGEST IN THE WORLD
From 7 December 2023 to 7 January 2024, for the 43rd year Mount Ingino, behind the city of Gubbio, will be illuminated by the largest Christmas tree in the world.
The Tree, which was lit for the first time in 1981, has long been in the Guinness Book of Records. It is made up of more than 700 luminous bodies of different types and colours, it is more than 750 meters high and occupies an area of approximately 130 thousand square metres.
The installation starts from the walls of the medieval city and reaches the Basilica of the Patron Saint Sant’Ubaldo, located at the top of the mountain where the Star shines.
The Tree will be lit every day from sunset until late at night.
